My professional life in nursing was discovering and enlightening as I stepped into teaching with a desire and experience to bridge the gap in education and transcend the knowledge to application. I have evolved as an advocate and scholar for my students by stimulating their critical thinking and cognitive reasoning, as I have observed their transition to clinical practice as clinical specialists and registered nurses. I believe in self-directed learning, continuous education and professional development to sustain creativity, originality and best education practices as a lifelong learner. I value professionalism and ethics to a higher standard of nursing practice and education. I believe interprofessional collaboration, creating meaningful and flexible learning spaces, and a student-centered model is important in teaching and enhancing the program.
